ABOUT HERITAGE MAHURANGI
Saving & Sharing our Heritage Together
The objectives of the organisation is to:
1… promote the identification, protection and conservation of all things of heritage and cultural value within the Mahurangi Area, for the benefit of communities in those areas and the general public.
2 … inform, advise and educate the public, of the significance of the area’s heritage places and to promote and advance the vision of Tapuwae (Footsteps of our ancestors)
3… work in conjunction and develop relationships with Heritage New Zealand, Ngati Manuhiri, whanau, hapu and other community organisations with similar aims, and with local and central government agencies, to create better understanding and awareness of the importance of heritage in the Mahurangi Area
